This Month's topic (June 2005)
School: Shorter or Longer?

I read an article in my Grammar textbook about America's extremely short school term. Okay, how many jaws dropped in defiance? The author argues that other countries are more leterate, more advanced in science and languages, and the reason is that they have shorter summers and longer school days. I've heard other people suggest shorter summers, but more mid-term breaks and shorter school hours. Write an editorial describing how you'd like the change you're schools schedule, and why it makes sense.
And by the way: Pleeeaaaaase?
